The Pajero

Here are some shots of our new car.
Mitsubishi Pajero '98 model
3.5 litre V6
Japanese import with 41,500KM on the clock.

Goes like a dream, every thing works.
57,000 Pula ($6,600 AUD) with everything transfered into our name and 12 months rego.

We replaced all the tyres as they where Ice tyres, not much call for them in Botswana!!!!!
Got Gooyear Wrangler All Terains for 1,600 Pula each so we are all ready to hit the game reserves.

Changed the engine oil as the oil in it was thin for the cold weather over there. With temps getting into the high 40s to low 50s I put a straight 40w shell oil into it.

We have started getting the 4WD esentials, tool kit, compressor, folding shovel etc..... and an esky of course, you need cool refreshments and the end of the day!

  1. The Pajero looks fantastic, not a mark on it.No stopping you now from heading to the game reserves to enjoy the wildlife.

Hope you are keeping a list of all the birds and animals you are spotting, you will probably be surprised at the number of species you will see during your time in Botswana.

  2. The 4x4 looks the goods. They are a very comfortable off roader. Ours was a 1995 mod. They look the same inside and the outside did not change a lot. Only thing I found was that it LOVED petrol. Even with a new motor. Best part was the changing into 4x4 on the move at up to 100 ks.
Sounds like you are settling in well. All good in Cowra and I am batching as Rob is down with Nat and Nigel to look after Kelly when the little fella is to make am apperance.
